Whitefish District Lions Club

The District hosted its A-5 Convention 2009 at the Radisson Hotel on April 3-5. It was an opportunity to meet community volunteers involved with Lions. Lectures assisted with leadership and communication skill building which assist us when working with the community and their activities.

We are also involved with Dog Guides" and their Annual Walk with your dog will be May 30th at Bell Park.

The public may not be aware that our location has medical equipment (such as canes, crutches, wheel hairs, walkers, etc) that is available to the public at no cost. We are having them serviced and cleaned so that they are in great shape when requested by the needy. Call Lion George Rees at 866-2894.

We also will be continuing to volunteer at Boardwalk during the summer. Monies raised provide us the opportunity to fill financial requests for many purposes, which are presented to the board each year.

In June, our new executive is chosen for the following term of duty.

Our Membership meets every 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 at the old Town Office in Whitefish.

Anyone requiring more information can call our Club President, Lion Marilyn Shamess @ 866-0381 or our secretary Lion Lorraine McLeod @ 866-5757. Our mission at Lions is to empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding through Lions clubs.
